The Nigerian Customs Service, on Friday 22nd April announced the immediate reopening of four land borders in a circular titled “EII/2022/CIRCULAR NO.004 RE-OPENING OF FOUR (4) ADITIONAL NIGERIAN BORDER POST”
The Circular reads in part:
“Sequel to the presidential directive dated 16th December 2020 granting approval for phased reopening of land borders namely; Mfum, Seme, Illela and Maigatari borders across the country, I am directed to inform you that four additional borders listed below have been approved for re-opening.
(a) Idiroko Border Post.
(b) Jibiya Border Post.
(c) Kamba Border Post.
(d) Ikom Border Post.
Consequently, all border formations and JBPT’s are to take note and ensure that proper manning takes place in compliance with extant operational guidelines.”
